Ethically Made
Making better bras and lingerie goes even further than making quality styles that fit and feel good. It means caring about the resources that go into their crafting at every step. From improving the lives of the people who make them to considering the environmental impact of how we craft, ship and promote our products. We are looking to continually do better, building a better today and tomorrow.
We make sure to offer balance to our team, a safe and healthy environment with fair pay. We have been making our garments in our exclusive women owned and managed factory in the Philippines for over 20 years.
Three years ago we implemented a wellness program in the factory, offering weekly Zumba classes, exercise classes, hourly stretches, healthy cooking seminars, daily meditation breaks, and a health-driven rewards program.
Internal surveys show the team is happier and feels better since they began participating in the program. Many team members say the program has improved not just their own lives but also those of their family members as they are all eating healthier now.
Sustainability is about choosing WELL
AND MAKING IT LAST
We only have one planet and it needs our love and support now more than ever. For us, choosing sustainability is part of our DNA – it’s essential. We prioritize the selection of processes and materials that have less of a negative impact on our environment, without sacrificing quality of the garments you love. We make lasting iconic products that will support you and last so that you can feel good about the choices.
In our office, we’re continuously making small efforts to reduce our impact on the planet – using FSC paper products in our office and promotional materials, recycling, challenging our teams to go as paperless as possible, gifting our team members re-useable water bottles, participating in Montreal’s March for the Climate as an organization, and choosing sustainable products as much as possible in every aspect of our business.
Reducing the use of packaging materials is at the core of our initiative. About 165 billion packages are shipped in the US each year, with the cardboard used roughly equating to more than 1 billion trees. As consumers, we need to get away from this expectation and we need to challenge brands.
Our BodyBiss Collection is woven from Lenzing's MicroModal fibers. This Premium, buttery soft fiber is made from self-rejuvenating Beechwood trees that are harvested based on sustainable forestry practices and processed on-site for a gentler environmental footprint. What we love about this fabric is that feels incredible on the body and is friendlier to the environment as well. We call that a win-win.
