As fashion designers, we spend as much time doing fun creative stuff as we do tending to the drearier tasks of running a business such as meetings and paperwork. One of the definite perks of our job is creating and overseeing photo shoots, which are loads of work but mostly loads of fun. This month we thought we’d share a few moments during our last video campaign shot on a sunny July afternoon in a studio at Victoria Park Spa in Westmount.

The inspiration for this photo shoot was freedom of movement. We wanted to showcase how our lingerie is designed to move with you so that you feel comfortable and sexy no matter what you’re doing and where you’re doing it. To do so, we developed various scenarios—a ballet class, a yoga class, a Bodylicious class and individual solos—featuring inspiring women who embody the essence of our collection.

Four of our stars—Alissa Perzow, Drea Wheeler, Samantha Cutler and Allison Fear—teach MoveBarre, Bodylicious and yoga classes at Victoria Park Spa. As members of the gym, we’ve sweated through their classes for over 5 years, so it was a natural fit to ask them to model our pieces. Our other two models, Angela Kim and Elenita Suarez, are accomplished performers currently on tour with Cirque du Soleil’s Volta show. All these women have some kick-ass moves, as you'll see in this Bodylicious video!

Elenita Suarez studied ballet before specializing in contemporary dance. Super friendly and always smiling, Elenita definitely danced her way into our hearts and into our Pretty Pink NANA bra and black IRIS hipster! Watch Elenita dance in our ballet video.
When all was said and done, we couldn’t have asked for a better crew to show our lingerie in all kinds of poses and permutations. Each woman was a pleasure to work with, and, as you can see for yourself, we’re really pleased with the sweet results!
